"Yoga is not about self improvement, it's about self acceptance."
~ Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa
A huge part of healing is acceptance of situations and of all the parts of ourselves. Acceptance is to make peace with it all, regardless of our judgements. Life can be unpredictable and unfair, but we can take back control by relinquishing it. The practice of yoga teaches us this by how we endure challenging poses and meet ourselves at the level we are at with kindness and compassion. May we remember our wholeness and humbly flow with the currents of life, just as supple trees bend and allow the wind to blow through them.
People come to yoga for many different reasons. Usually for healing of either the body or mind (or both). I discovered yoga while suffering depression. At the time, it was the only thing I felt safe enough to leave the house and do.
It took me a long time to really understand the benefits and feel the profound difference it made on my body, mind and spirit over time, and it was so worth it. Words alone can not explain what you only know when you feel it in your body.
Yoga is a way of life, it is a gift that keeps giving, it is a tool for healing... one that encompasses so much of what is needed to thrive in life.
Inner beauty, freedom, confidence and joy are what I want to help ignite within you through my offerings. You'll find a mix of soul warming meditation groups, healing workshops and restoring & invigorating classes.
